Mom thanks for everything that you do. I know you are not perfect, but you are the best!!!! You taught me to love people, you were always so kind to others. I love how you can call me during the week and talk like a little kid and say i luv you my baby gaby! I appreciate your love. You didn't teach me to sing, dance or play soccer, but you taught me to love God. During my teenage years, I asked so much from you, and you did the best to give me everything that I needed and wanted. Thanks for putting up with my room when I was little. Thanks for going to my choir/drama performances at school. Thanks for being my taxi and my hairdresser and my stylist(even thought it was crazy clothes). Thanks for the moments we laughed, and cried together. Thanks for taking care of me when I was sick or hurt and praying with me. Thanks for criticizing me when I didn't look sharp (btw you still do that). Thanks for loving my husband. I like to think back to the past to brag and say we were great kids compared to others (sometimes). We did not budge during or after sacrament. I always heard other Mom's going On and On about their kids. But you kept SILENT, you hardly ever bragged about us, but I knew deep down inside you were very grateful, and since we were good according to you, you only pushed us to be better and had more expectations for us. I love your example, your relationship with dad and how happy you've kept him. I don't know how you managed to put a plate on the table every night for him. I admire how hard you work. I admire all of your efforts. I love to always catch you reading the scriptures, Wow mom, you are my hero!!....And I could go on forever.Happy Mother's Day NANI, love Gaby. Oh and Mom thanks for telling me great things about grandma, I know Abuelita (your mom) is not here with us anymore, but I am sure she is very proud of you and all of the great things you have accomplished.
IRENE... MOM (INLAW)
So Irene (mom), where do I begin?? Although I have only known you about 3 years, I feel like I have known you forever. I am sooooooo thankful to you and your friendship, love and support. I am so happy to know you, I am so happy to see your face light up when I enter the room. I just laugh inside when you tell me a story about one of your daughter's (kids, pregnancy, surgery, funny moment, good news, ) after the 5th time and you seem so excited. You See normally, I get annoyed but other times, I just smile because you are sooo happy and I love to see you happy. You have changed my life for the better. You have changed my perspective on life (maybe not politically) but in other things. Thanks for making me understand the other side of life I never knew. You are soooooo giving, sometimes and in my own opinion I think TOO GIVING!! But it is what makes YOU so special. I appreciate everything you have done for me and steve. I love you for raising Steve. I know you had many daughters to wash clothes and do dishes, and normally steve doesn't love doing those things (oddly I have met guys who are clean freaks) but tonight he bought me flowers, did the laundry and washed the dishes....sigh I love him and in part thank you for that. Thanks for coming over and talking on the porch with me for hours. Thanks for loving me. I thought because I was latina, you might have a problem with that, but I was wrong. Out of all the girls in your lovely family, I feel we are the closest. I can call, text or bug you at anytime and you will come flying. Maybe if we were the same age, we could be Best friends, but then the whole Steve thing wouldn't work out. I love the person you are and the great example you are to your family!! You are a strong, hard working, giving and god fearing woman!!! Happy Mother's day...I'm hoping everyone will give you a kiss and a hug tomorrow, you deserve it!! Love your new daughter (inlaw) Gaby.Shout outs to Family Members below...some pictured some not
