So...WE'RE MOVING!! Several people have asked me why and so to clear up the confusion, I'll just blog about it. We are moving for 2 reasons and no we are NOT selling our home.1) Steve has been wanting to move for a while now. He has brought it up several times. We prayed about it and felt it was the right thing. He wants to begin investing in real estate. It has been his goal for many years now. When we first got married we wrote out our long and short term goals and it just so happens, we looked at our goals since we got married and it was there..it said under Steve's goals, that he wanted to invest in real estate. Yes after his dad.
2) We want to move closer to Steve's work. He works in Cottonwood which is about 50 min drive according to google maps, however with construction it only gets worse. He had been working in South Jordan for a while and then the company moved to Cottonwood. So he's been commuting to SLC for about 5-6 yrs now. He doesn't really carpool because most of his co-workers live in SL County.
We are going to be renting our home to a couple with 1 baby and one due in June. My husband and I found the right people after several people came. We laid out a strict contract, we hope things go as planned. We don't expect everything to go perfect, so we have a backup plan in case it fails. We expect they will be good to our home and it is definitely a risk, but we are currently wanting to take risks at this point in our lives. I have lived here for 5 yrs and Steve has lived here for 6 yrs. We really have many hopes and aspirations for our future as well as a family we want to start at the end of this year.
The Lord has blessed us tremendously and we are so grateful for that. I am truly blessed to have a husband that works hard to pay our bills and tuition. He is currently in a Master's program too. Wow he really is amazing!! We will be moving temporarily in Orem where my brother in law is buying a new house, and after that our plans are to buy a home in Lehi, yes Lehi. I will graduate December 17th..I am so nervous and excited and hope I can find a job as soon as possible, because currently I don't work. Despite our many imperfections, weaknesses and trying times, we always manage to put the Lord first in our lives..and really that is the only way we have survived.
We will be renting our home for 2 yrs..we may or may not come back..we'll see.
P.S. the cats will be moving with us
