The Aftermath and our Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was so amazing. After our wedding we went to the Anniversary Inn and stayed the night at the rose garden. It was fun and we had food that the N.H. house gave us. We ate and then the rest is history. The next few days were filled with fun and craziness from my family. We spent Thanksgiving with Steve's family but we only ate pies because most of his family had to go to their in-laws. When we went over to my aunt's for Thanksgiving dinner it was crazy. We had our cousins and uncles and aunts there. It was so fun! Steve was like I don't understand what anyone is saying. I told him I could translate in French. He just glared and said, "English please." Ok so the weirdest thing happened. Just because we are from Guatemala, it doesn't make a difference, we always have turkey in the U.S. I have never had a Thanksgiving without turkey. My parents always have it. Guess what? The year Steve is with us, the women decide to make steak. I was so upset and not at the fact that Steve was there. I wanted and had been craving Turkey. AHHHH! Well we had steak and my mom whispered in my ear that she was going to cook turkey Sunday and that it was my aunt's idea. Well, we had steak and it was good, but I wanted my turkey. After eating, we had a talent show and I sang and my family sang and danced, played guitar, my 60 yr old aunt and uncle danced to the twist. Then we played charades and everyone was talking and Steve was like I'm the only one here who isn't trilingual or bilingual so I translated for Steve and soon he started laughing too. That Saturday we left for the island of kauai, Hawaii. It was a great adventure. We rented a car for the whole week. We stayed at a timeshare 5 star hotel. It was pretty neat and a new experience for me and Steve. We had a lady plan our stay there for the 7 days we were going to be there. One day it was a boat ride, the next a 5 hour tour, the next hiking, scuba diving..etc.. Well we were so disappointed because the last day it rained so much that they didn't let us go scuba diving. At least we got scuba lessons. We went swimming almost everyday and we did so much I don't even remember. We had to turn down some activities because everyday it seemed we were booked with things to do. We needed time to go to the beach and relax, so on the 29th of November we relaxed. It was my birthday that day. I was happy and we ate out and went to a really nice restaurant. Steve was sad because his GPS didn't arrive in time for us to take to Hawaii. It would've been useful. I video recorded almost everything we did in Hawaii. Taking a camera was a good idea. What awesomeness! Sorry if I mispell anything. We left Kauai with great memories and funny stories we can tell our children. One more thing, we saw several kitties during our stay there in the most random places. Steve and I still laugh about that. After Hawaii, we stayed one day in San Francisco and basically just went sightseeing, we'll have to go back too, I really like San Fran. This was our little trip, hopefully we can go back soon. Next stop Europe...
